The rest to go! Well, you can sort of count the kitchen as being done. Everything is unpacked and in a place somewhere. I'd like to clear off the counters some more, but the kitchen seems to be grand central station where everything tends to collect. Anyway, the real reason for this post is to show you Ian's room! So, as you enter the door...
A good view of the bed, curtains, toy box...
A toy bin full of toys... and Aunt Lydia painted the painting! It's been in John's office, above the mantel at the last place, and now in a special place in Ian's room!
Great Grandma Larget made these wonderful curtains and valance. The fabric is vintage transportation which is the general theme of the room.
Heirloom toys! The wooden train was John's as a child, and the rocking chair was mine.
Ian's dresser... no changing table in this room, but nope, he's not potty training, yet. Soon, very soon.

Looks great! Love Lyd's painting - the color really adds to the room.
I agree! A perfect room for Mr Ian! What a big boy!
Looks wonderful! That is a great Bible beach ball, too. Where did you get it?
My comment showed up! Yeah!
A neighbor gave us some toys that their son had grown out of, and there were two of these balls in the stash. They said it was from VBS. (They are Presbyterian.)
Wow! How cool that my painting is in Ian's room! It looks great in there, and I bet he will be so much smarter for the cubism in his life. He'll appreciate modern art at a young age.
Love the room and can't wait to hear about your potty-training adventures!
It all looks great! What a family effort: Great-Grandma's curtains, Lydia's painting, John & your toys, the toy box I got. Ian is one blessed child to have such a wonderful room to grow up in.:)
@Lydia: Oh, Ian definitely knows which paintings Aunt Lydia did in the house. For the one that's above our bed, he always says, "Be careful."
@Carolyn: You're right! Everyone had a piece in the room just like everyone has an influence on his life.
